Everyday’s work / El pan nuestro de cada día

Hi everyone. This is a post about my everyday work. Currently I’m studying animation. My main objective is to learn the basis of it, and later on to get a job in the industry. On school we usually have 3 or 4 assignments per week. The first one is drawing. The second one is story and visual language where we learn all the stuff surrounding the animation process (such as story, storyboard, and aesthetic, among other stuff.) The third one is maya modeling and of course animation. Maybe I will talk about these things in a later post.

In my spare time I work in two other projects: Chaos’ Chronicles and Catrina. Chao’s Chronicles is a story I made based on the question what does the one with the conscious of being absolute thinks? Chaos Chronicles is the tale of Alexander and his quest to find the means to save his world from the imminent ending. Through this quest he faces this philosophical dilemma and other stuff.

Hola mis estimados lectores, éste es un post acerca de mi trabajo diario. Actualmente me encuentro estudiando animación. Mi principal objetivo en el transcurso de este año aprender las bases de la animación para poder vivir de ello. En la escuela tenemos regularmente 3 o 4 tareas/proyectos que trabajamos simultáneamente. El primero y más básico es de dibujo. El segundo es de narrativa y lenguaje visual donde  aprendemos los elementos que rodean a la animación (historia, storyboard, estética, etc…), modelado en maya y por supuesto animación. En otro post profundizaré más de lo que tratan estas materias.

En ratos libres, además de estudiar, trabajo en dos proyectos: Crónicas Caóticas y Catrina. Crónicas Caóticas es una historia que generé de la idea de que pasa por la conciencia de aquel que se sabe absoluto. Crónicas Caóticas cuenta la historia de Alejandro y su búsqueda de los medios para salvar su mundo de su inminente final.

The basketball animation

Hi everyone, this week has been so exciting. First of all I turned 25. So this was a party week, well, almost. First we toasted on a bar, then received my new roomates from czeck Republic with a small brinds. To my surprise they also bought some wine, a present and a delicious small cake... all for myself. Did I mention it was chocolate cake :) later on saturday I prepared Pozole, a mexican Dish which is kind of a soup. I invited my friends from school and had such a good time. Time, funny thing everyone complains for not having enough so I figured that the best gift from people is to be with you. Anyways, I had such a great time. Meanwhile I have been working on my animations trying to discover the secrets of animation :).

 Hola a todos,esta semana ha sido genial. Primero que nada cumplí 25 años. Eso significa semana de pachangas y fiestas, bueno casi. Primero brinde con mis compañeros de la escuela en un bar. Al día siguiente recibí a mis nuevos roomies de república checa con un pequeño brindis. Para mi sorpresa también compraron un poco de vino, un regalito y un pastel de chocolate... para mi solito... sep chocolaate. El sábado prepare Pozole para celebrar en forma, invite a todos mis compañeros de clase y pasamos un día muy agradable. Cosa curiosa que todos me preguntaron por que cocinaba si era mi cumpleaños. Mi respuesta fue siempre la misma: Quiero comer la comida que me gusta y compartirla con las personas que hacen de mi estadía en este nuevo país agradable. El mejor regalo que recibi fue tiempo; siempre escaso y por lo tanto valioso. Gracias por una semana tan genial. Por otro lado estoy trabajando duro para aprender el oficio de la animación y aquí los dejo con una pequeña muestra:

Reboot

Hi everybody, this is my first entry on English to this old blogg of mine. After a little makeup I think is time to start over with this awesome thing of blogging. First of all, let me start with the story of this blogg. Back in 2003, me and a bounch of people decided to enter to a brand new highschool program. Its goal was to have a group of students with high profiles into a more science oriented education. I can say I survived it. I'm not sure if the goal of the program was achieved but I got to know amazing people. I dunno who began to publish a blogg but all of suden half of the group had a blogg and it was fun to spend writting stuff to share. Hopefully in this new stage of my life in Vancouver I will be able to post more often and show my development as artist.

Hola a todos, esta es mi primera entrada en mi viejo Blogg, luego de un año de abandono. Tras una manita de gato decidí retomar esto del bloggeo. Haciendo un recuento de cómo empezó este blogg mi mente regresa al 2003 cuando entre a la prepa. Yo y un grupo de estudiantes entramos a un programa experimental de alto rendimiento. Fueron los 3 años más raros de mi vida y puedo decir con satisfacción que salí adelante. No recuerdo quien empezó a bloggear pero sé que varios abrimos cuentas y que era divertido escribir cosas para luego publicarlas (si, hablo de la era pre-facebook). Actualmente me encuentro en Vancouver y espero poder publicar más seguido sobre mi desarrollo como artista.
